We all see so many posterior tibial tendon injuries. I have attached a video for patients to attempt their own taping with Leukotape and Coverall. This has been an excellent technique to eliminate subtalar joint eversion which pulls on the posterior tibial tendon. Of course, I always do the first tape for the patient, and tell them it will probably take up to five tries to duplicate the same tension and results that I can do from years of practice. It can be used in conjunction with orthotic devices. It may be something that you do as a provider by having come into the office weekly while orthotic devices are being made.
