The Tundra sandal is similar to the Tundra Boot. It is a non-articulating gauntlet AFO integrated within a functional open walking sandal. The combination of the internal solid ankle frame and a leather sandal allows for a customizable substitute for a post operative shoe or walking boot.
Inside the sandal, there is a thick padded insole with an optional plastazote top cover that can have an accommodation added for any bony prominences or ulcer presentation. This solid ankle frame immobilizes the ankle and holds it in the desired corrected or fixed position.
